Contemporary, Quirky and Unique
A scene that pops out from nowhere, strange architecture, a meander
in a river or tourists neatly arranged along a city wall.
Sometimes such images are spontaneous, sometimes the camera can sit
for ages on its tripod before all the required elements meet.
The viewfinder allows the photographer to remove so much of what the
human eye sees, enabling the photographer to re-create the scene.
The viewer is restricted to seeing only what the photographer
wants to show.
For me, it is part of the fun of photography, to create a
composition that shows the patterns in the scene or the colour, to
add people, or leave them out? Such power!
And of course, as always, good composition is key to every good
photograph.
