West Bengal, India. The traditional and the not so traditional ply the busy main roads of India. I cycle toured from Darjeeling in the tea plantations of the Himalayas to Kolkata, and the main roads were choked half to death with the fumes from big lorries. I loved the decorations on the lorries, but didn’t like the fumes that spewed out of their exhaust pipes….
Fantastic composition… love the contrast between modes of transportation. Yes, I agree, I can’t stand the fumes from such polluters… but they look so photogenic!
lovely scene – I can imagine those diesel fumes were horrendous at times.
