An old wooden boat waiting for the tide to come back on the saltmarshes and mudflats along the coast near Burnham.
These saltmarshes sit between the sea and land and provide a natural protection from the sea. From the land you can look out across the saltmarshes and see the pointed ends of the boats poking up above the grass. At first you see nothing, then your eyes tune in and they are everywhere.
Some are new and still active, and some, like this one, have seen better days….but are very useful as photographic subjects!
