This is a multiple image stitched photograph…Sometimes a photograph won’t fit into the rectangle shape of my viewfinder! So rather than crop, I took a number of images and stitched in ptgui.

Epping Forest is a managed forest, and to conserve the diversity of flora and fauna, bits of forest are deforested in order to create areas where meadows can grow. Any chopped down trees can be woodchipped so that they break down into the soil quicker, or can be left as habitats for various plants and animals.

If the forest was totally to nature, trees would completely take over reducing the diversity of the forest.
