This photo was taken whilst wandering around the streets of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It’s a joy to wander the backstreets of these towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where you can stop for a coffee and a cake at any time to rest your weary feet!  The people are friendly and the prices are low.

The ‘cafe’ sign and Coca Cola sign caught my attention, with the street drifting away into the distance.

The photo was taken on an overcast day, and the original colour version was drab.  Converting to black and white using Lightroom allowed me to be much more creative with the exposure of the image.  Instead of seeing a warm, yellowy mushy colour from the buildings, I have now directed the eye towards the sign, and then the eye can be led deeper into the image.

The image now has much more impact thanks to the post processing, and it only took a few minutes to do.
