I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again….Just ambling along country roads in the UK is at least a picturesque experience. The hedgerows that divide fields from each other and the roads provide a habitat for all sorts of flora and fauna, so the occasional whiff of wild garlic, the sound of birdsong and the buzzing of bees makes a relaxing experience.
This is a country lane in Devon when I was en-route for Dartmoor national Park. I never go out of my way to take photographs when cycling along these lanes, it’s just that every now and then a composition jumps out.
Again, processed in Silver Efex Pro as previously described.
Beautiful landscape in b&w but my mind changes it to colours…

I’m increasingly being drawn to B&W landscapes. This image certainly confirms that you don’t have to go out of you way to find really good examples.

this is excellent again … and your words are spot on! you live in a very picturesque country indeed, and there’s no need to go out of one’s way in order to find wonderful photo opportunities like this !!!
I love Devon! Wish I had had more time to explore when I was there but it was time to visit the relatives. Love how your eye is drawn to the gate and what’s beyond.
Behind the fence it’s like a secret land. Fantastic picture.
A delight. Not usually keen on b&W landscapes but this suits a feeling of the “good old days” very well.
Thankyou!
