I couldn’t resist these boats. I love the colours and all the flaky paint! It’s a little scene that can only be created over years as the jetty’s become worn and wonky and the paint slowly flakes. This is a small harbour near a sailing club on the south coast of the UK. It was really windy, and a bit darker than it looks here as I’ve slightly overexposed with a long(ish) exposure. But I like the peacefulness of the harbour the rushing sound of the wind and the clunking and rattling of the boats.

  • I can see the appeal Tony, the pastel colours are beautiful.

    • Thankyou George, yes I really like the combinations of colour on that dull browny canvas of the jetty sea and sky.

    • Thankyou, I loved the creaking boats swaying in the water, and tried to capture a little bit of that.

  • Love the calm water and the resting boats. Great shot
